Watchdog and Tequila Mockingbird were recorded in Jimmy Morgen's parents' basement (until we were kicked out for being to loud). Looser was recorded in Will's basement, and the remaining tracks were recorded in Bill's parents' living room while they were on vacation. Mire is: Dave Isom - Guitar Bill Huges - Drums Lisa Ruth - Bass, Vocals Produced by Dave Isom Sound Engineer - Ben Um Special thanks to Ben's friend Rudy for loaning us all the recording equipment for the weekend to slap together this album. Just a few notes: The first 9 tracks were recorded back in 1997 (I think! or was it late '96... I can't remember) by Mire (Myself, Bill, and Lisa). Ben's friend Rudy loaned us an Alesis digital 8 track, a 16 channel mixer board, a shitload of cables and cords, and a few really expensive mics. We did the entire recording in one weekend, starting at 5:00pm on Friday. We worked straight through (with a few short breaks for sleeping and eating) until about 1:30am Monday morning, when the final mixdown to cassette tape was finished. My apologies in advance for "Hell on Earth". We were seriously rushed to finish recording the material and didn't really have a whole lot of time to go back over and polish each track. I'd have to say that is my least favorite track on this album, but I decided to throw it on there just for the "Hell" of it. Loser was recorded on December 10, 2000 by Myself, Will Rodriguez, and his buddy Kevin Marter. None of us had really practiced the tune, so we basically learned it, practiced it, and recorded it in a 6 hour period. We used a simple 4 track analog recorder and managed to squeeze 8 seperate tracks on it. Let me tell you, it was a tight fit! Feel free to distribute this material. This music was made because we enjoyed doing it, not because we wanted to piss and moan about who can have it and who can't. Now here's a sad story... Years ago our bassist and vocalist, Lisa, disappeared without a trace. I tried to call her one day, and her number had been disconnected. Bill and I assumed that she moved to Chicago, and just didn't bother to tell us. As it turns out, we were right. Bill bumped into Lisa a couple of years later, but we haven't seen or heard from her since. Lisa, if a copy of this ever finds it way to you, EMAIL ME AND LET ME KNOW YOU'RE ALIVE! Or, if you're not Lisa, and you're reading this, just email me and let me know what you think about the music. I can be reached at dave@isomtech.com. Overall, this stuff was just done for fun. If you don't like it... oh well. If you think some of it (or all of it) just plain sucks --- well, that's why we all have day jobs. Dave
