Here's a few of the aerial photos that I've taken from Jim's plane.
My house in Lake Station - It's the one behind all the trees with the big yellow car in the back yard!
This is the NASCAR raceway in Joliet, Illinois. For some unknown reason, NASCAR calls it the Chicago raceway, when it's actually farther from Chicago than my house is. This picture was taken while it was still being built.
Route 66 Dragway being built in Joliet, Illinois (right next to the raceway). Both these racetracks are directly in the flight path from Griffith to Morris Municipal Airport. Jim and I fly out to Morris every now and then because they have a little cafe right on the runway with an awesome breakfast buffet!
This is the Kingair that they use for skydiving at Morris. Someday, I'll be plunging into the open air at 10,000 feet from this plane!
Here's a shot of one of the skydivers at Morris.
Here are a few pics that I took on the way to Boston. If you'd like to read the story of that weekend, *CLICK HERE*
This is a military helicopter that was running some training drills off in the distance while we were flying.
